    Disabled children put on wall of shame !!!

    Hi all, I saw this today and could not ****ing beleive what I was reading. Some people are so hatefull I just cant understand why.
    My daughter is disabled she is one of the most happy, kind, pleasant, funny, beautifull people anyone could wish to meet. She never cryes, mones, complanes, about her disabilaty she just accept that her life is differant to other peoples and that she has to work and try harder than any abled body person. She truley is inspirational, she is so determined not to let her disabilaty to hold her back and I love her so much.
    She is not conected to this story I was just so angry when I read this I had to share my thoughts and send my greatest sympathys to all the familys afected by this.

    Disabled children applying for bus passes 'labelled mongs and mingers on council's wall of shame'

    • Pictures of children 'who looked different' on display for months
    • Council launches investigation into allegations
    An investigation has been launched after council staff apparently mocked disabled children by putting pictures of the youngsters on a 'wall of shame'.
    An insider at Kent County Council claims that workers at the school transport office singled out photographs of children 'who looked a bit different', regularly referring to them as 'mongs' and 'mingers'.
    It is believed the pictures were sent in by the parents of the children as part of school bus pass applications.
    The source said: 'I was appalled by what was going on. It made me sick to the stomach.'

    The alleged 'wall of shame' at a Kent Council transport office. It is believed the pictures were sent in by the parents of the children as part of school bus pass applications.

    A member of staff at the school transport office in Kings Hill has now been suspended over the incident.
    The insider claims they came across the 'wall of shame' - which featured pictures of over a dozen children, a number of whom were disabled - in November last year and it was not taken down until January this year.
    When the photographs were eventually removed from the wall, they were allegedly then attached to a single piece of paper, which staff members passed around the office.
    Kerry Bourne, a campaigner for children with special needs from Tunbridge Wells, told MailOnline: 'If this is true and if I was in the shoes of the parents of the children involved I would be disgusted and demand action.
    'We have to rely on these people to do the best for us and for our children - and this is what they get up to.
    'These children are really vulnerable in the first place because they have a disability so there's no way they should be treated like this.

    A member of staff at the office in Kings Hill, Kent (pictured), has been suspended pending further investigation

    'My son is autistic and although it maybe wouldn't have affected him because he does not have a physical disability I'd be horrified if someone was to do the same to him.
    Ms Bourne also said that the suspension of one staff member would not be severe enough punishment.
    'Suspension is not enough - they should get the sack.
    'The pictures must have been seen by a lot of people if they were up on a wall for so long. Surely people questioned why they were up there?
    'I can't see how one person can be to blame for that - it has to be everyone in that office apart from the person who reported it.
    'It's bullying - bullying on a pathetic level.
    'I feel really sorry for the parents involved. These parents are sending in pictures of their children, never expecting that the photos will be used for anything other than the application.
    'Now they will probably think twice about sending in pictures with their applications.'
    A Kent County Council spokesman said: 'The county council totally condemns any such behaviour. We expect the highest standards of professional conduct from all staff.

    'Accordingly, these allegations are being dealt with very urgently and the member of staff involved in this issue has been suspended while a disciplinary hearing takes place in accordance with county council procedures.'

          As said I hope everyone of them are sacked,

          ~~~~ing scum the lot of them.
          That's the type of society we now live in where all disabled people are treated like scum because of the way they are portrayed in the newspapers, on the net and the TV because the government want us to believe that all disabled people are all scroungers and on the fiddle
          Sad Sad State our Country is in.
              Maybe I'm a little more relaxed, but I can see a double standard here.
              These photo's were not on public display, so it was a form of 'office humour'.
              Even if you think their actions are wrong, how many of you have looked at this thread & laughed ya tits off?....
              This is the type of over sensitivity that brought about the PC brigade in the first place. 90% of all jokes can be offensive to somebody, but we still laugh.
                        Trust me I'm as relaxed up here on cloud 9 as you can get !
                        These photo's were not on public display, so it was a form of 'office humour'.
                        These photo's was sent to a goverment office so that these people could get a bus pass so they can travel to and from school safely. This is very inportant to some family's as it gives the disabled child confidance, responsability and helps teach vital life skills. It is also vital to the parant's of some desabled children, who have enuff stress and worry in there life. Something as simple as knowing that your disabled child can travle to and from school safely and without any bullying or teasing on their own is a MASSIVE thing.
                        If anyone tried to make "office humour" about my disabled daughter I would make a point of comming down from up here on cloud 9, and I would hunt them down all the way to the "12 level of hell" if need be
                        Even if you think their actions are wrong, how many of you have looked at this thread & laughed ya tits off?....
                        We are talking about council officers the people that are there to help disabled people and there familys, I don't "think their actions are wrong" I KNOW they are !
                        Maybe I am being "over sensitive" having a disabled child maybe it has hit on a raw nerve, maybe I have let this story become somewhat persanal, but I dont think so I think that even if I did not have a disabled child I would still think this is a total desgrace and from the very people that are there to help !
                          You are not being over sensitive Mate. It is society that is wrong here.
                          I am not PC at all but this is totally wrong Taking the piss out of anyone that is disabled is a no-no in my book.
                          I think its disgusting and anyone, IMO, that thinks it's not, is as bad as them
                            This just labels you in the same league as these inconsiderate council employees who have no respect for those who have to live there life with a disability weather it be visual disfigurement or an illness.
                            I don't think many of our forces who have been disabled or disfigured fighting for your country will find this very funny.
                            There are certain lines I feel should not be crossed and with your comments you've crossed them.
                            My daughter has been disabled since she was 2 year old and will never be any different even after several major operations and joint replacements.
                            Try bringing a child of your own up with a disability and you will then understand this situation.
                            Thanks thc4me for bringing this up Jokes like this are not funny to the person involved or there family. PC brigade don't come into it in my eyes this is total disrespect and I would sack the lot of them.
