Unfortunately I have only just seen this topic but from all I have read I came to the conclusion (as you lot did already) that they were just trying to sort out their pecking order.
I am happy that things are now on an even keel with Lola going to a caring home. Sadie no longer has a reason to be number 1 bitch as she is the only one now.
I admire the way you have dealt with this problem. Many folk would have passed the 2 dogs on to a rescue centre/rspca centre. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, all "rescued" from folk that couldn't handle/train/look after the animals. I (and my wife) can't stand the thought of innocent animals having to potentially be euthenased because someone can't look after the animal.
I may not be the best animal carer on the earth but I try and my animals want for nothing...all are happy as anyone will see if they ever visit me.
