Breaking Bad.
3 seasons, fourth starts in 40odd days.
Story about a Chemistry teacher, diagnosed with terminal cancer.
His brothers a DEA agent and at a barbecue he mentions how much money he seized in a Methamphetamine lab bust.

Having nowt to leave his family (he doesnt tell them hes dying) he decides to go into business with some home chemistry.

Awesome stuff.

Id say Stargate Universe, but it got shitcanned after only 2 seasons, ~~~~ing yankies!

BSG is really good if you havnt seen it, well worth a watch, caprica... not so much.

Old west fronteir show only instead of that Dr Quinn bullshit its actually aimed at mature adults. definitely worth checking out, and Lovejoys part is amazing.
Downside is that cause its made by bloody Americans it gets shitcanned like firefly at the 3rd? season...
Good watching otherwise.

Dead Like Me
Chick heads to work, gets hit by a space station toilet seat, winds up as a grim reaper, hilarity ensues.
Awesome little series that again got SHITCANNED by those bastard yanks.

Being Erica
Series about a woman stumbling through life, running into a weird back alley gremlinsesque therapist, lets her time travel to the past to change the "what if's."
Like good TV comfort food. again though it got SHITCANNED by the blasted yankees, the Canadians had gotten tired of them doing this at this point and picked it up, currently filming the 5th season

I HATE AMERICANS! they shitcan everything i get into watching, more often than not just as things start to take a turn and get really interesting

dexter: great stuff once you get into it, got more twists and turns than a hmmm twisty turny thing.

spartacus blood and sand: all cgi stuff like 300, but i like sword and sandle shite

spartacus gods of the arena: as above but with added jamie murry mmmmm!

I guess for me the all-time greats are the likes of Prison Break, The Sopranos and the first few series of 24.

If you like UK comedy you could try the Inbetweeners and Peep Show. They're very much Channel 4 comedy (rude and crude, sex and drug references) but if you like that sort of thing they're very good.

I love Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. The new season of breaking bad starts in July and I highly recommend it, especially if you are into Dexter, it's a very similar style of serialized tv.
