    Summer Job!

    Hi
I've just finished completing my GCSE's and have left school. I have roughly 12 weeks till i start doing A levels in college and am thinking about finding some work for the holidays. I have no previous work history apart from my work experience which i did last year. Does anyone know of any places which are looking to hire school leavers for a short temporary period of time? Thanks

Best bet is to sign up to as many agencys as possible mate. Thats what I done all my way through uni.

        Code:
        [URL]http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/forms/p38s.pdf[/URL]
Fill that form in and give it to the agency, then you wont pay tax on your earnings up to ?7k.

Depending on your age you could look down the McD's, KFC, Burger King route. But you have to be over 16 years 6 months old (no ~~~~ing idea why)

I did my time in McD's & loved it. Don't go in thinking it's going to be easy, they work you hard. But it can set you up for life if you put the effort in.
I know a few employers that will happily take on people who have worked in McD's, even with no experience. All because of the hard work needed to gain those gold stars.

You should regard your work experience as a start on the ladder of your cv and should always include it. The question is if you took that work experience seriously at the time and I'm bearing in mind that you were at an age when the work may have seemed relevant or not.
Usually it would include your punctuality and interest shown and I'm also bearing in mind that you may or may not have had a choice in the actual type of work that you did.
Remember that it is valuable and for your age would be considered as valuable.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find your cv in the link but I'm sure that if you google the matter you will get plenty of tips there.
I wish you success in job seeking and whatever you find will give you more experience, another rung on the ladder of your cv and cash in your pocket which, in itself, will give you some independence.
                    Best of luck.
