As title suggests,what is a good site to advertise a business?

It's a small business so nothing to costly please, just one that gets results ,any suggestions? From experience or the word is etc... thanks muchly Micky

actually facebook is a great way, especially for local businesses. set up a business page linked to your facebook account, and get people to like it, add local associations, hotels, businesses, pubs etc as friends and like their pages, and get people to put links up on their fb wall and add testimonials for you.
