    Faulty China Ebay urchase

Just bought a laptop battery from china and it is dead on arrival.
Now I only paid ?23.49 free postage. They suggest I return it to them for testing.

Now to ship this back to china I would imagine the cost will nearly exceed the price I paid for it.

    What would you recommend

    Thanks

The way I see it is I don't see why I should pay for the return of a product that is faulty.

So i think i full refund is in order

this is one of the problems with purchasing from outside the uk our trading standards law does not apply.
i ordered something in the past that was dropshipped from china it was faulty asked for postage to send back got no reply started paypal dispute yes i got refunded but had to pay postage costs back and it had to be recorded signed for so it can be tracked and when it got to its destination
with ref to cost wiegh it roughly and go on royal mail website it will give you an idea of cost as the only way you will get your money back is to return it

It was way back on watchdog most laptop battery from china are home made and can explode when over heated in laptop, they are so cheap any 1 will be tempted to buy them, I would buy the original from UK.

Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

Same as ebay in UK if you dont send it back you have no right to a refund

Dhgate seller will normally give you discount of next order which isnt very good if you are only a one off user

explain the situation too Dhgate it may help or talk to seller it may have been insured

but as said earlier it is one of the pitfalls im afraid

, most of the originals are made in China !

The trick with purchasing goods in China is to find a supplier that purchases from the same manufacturer as the oem's use. That means doing your research before parting with cash !

Like anything, if its too cheap to be true then it very probably isn't worth buying. For the sake of saving a few quid on a single item its rarely worth purchasing oustide the EU and NEVER in China. China is really only useful for bulk purchases - everything else, forget !
