Don't run and hide, instead participate. You will find that it will go well once you become involved. Help the Wife, with the preperations and the like.

As for Christmas shopping, I try to do as much early shopping as possible. That way you and the family can just go town to see the lights and enjoy the hectic atmosphere. I find this quite hilarious actually. People rushing, like chicken without heads. HO HO

To help with the xmas shopping, if you find yourself with a huge debt after the holidays. I suggest you start a christmas fund, what ever you can afford. Start with your first paycheck and continue up to November. That way you will have extra cash, and might not have any xmas debt for the new year. Hope this helps. Oh, I love Xmas.
