    Dog training

Hey guys I need some guidance here. I've got a dog that likes to take me for a walk and there in lay the problems. As much as I try, he makes it a chore to bring him for a walk. Now he has about 30mtr x 30mtr of a back garden to run around in, but wouldn't that be just like staying in the same room all day long. I would really like to be able to control him while out for a walk. Any ideas or links welcome. I'm ~~~~ed if I'm ringing Ceaser Milan .

Ps. he's a cross between a Japanese Akita and a Huskey ( big ~~~~er) help plz

ok m8 you need to be the alfa male with this, never hit your dog bad idea, do you remember Barbara woodhouse on tv years ago she was right. but hitting a dog to check it serves no purpose, just love it m8 wi a firm hand, shout pull hard on the lead, but hitting it is negative. i trained guard dogs for a bit in glasgow, remember a dog is like a gun if its put in the wrong hands its a problem, it takes time and patience with a dog but if its trained its a joy, if its not its a nightmare its up to you not the dog. good luck dogs are my favourite people

might be the husky in him that makes him want to pull.

carry treats. dogs respond to treats. perhaps get one of them little clickity things that the dog will soon learn to associate with treats. click it each time the dog starts to go too far away from u. overtime it will learn to stay close to you because close to you is close to treats.

unless, of course, the dog is a complete ~~~~wit

you need to buy a hilti lead which attatches over his snout. If he pulls to hard it harts his snout and jaw. Proven effective in use and available from ebay or all good pet shops for a few pounds.

another method i heard about was to stop still when they pulled and start walking back the other way.
apparently they get fed up of it although it never worked for me and my jack russel.
but then again, my jack russel was a tw@t

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I do not know the answer.

my ex was convinced that foxes were more like cats than dogs.
luckily, her idiot genes have not been passed on to my daughter
