I know that eventually we will all be paid the correct NHS rates but what is REALLY annoying me is the lack of urgency with NHS HR to change us over...this is obviously a money saving excercise in my eyes!

I am going in today at normal time knowing everyone else around me is being paid DOUBLE time, a really annoying and demotivating fact to have to digest.

If they said yes OK we have been too slow, they admit staff shortages have caused this and will back
date I would feel much better.

How do you know that eventually you will be paid nhs rates? do you know anyone who as?,
i very much doubt that !!!,if i was working today i would be on time and 2/3 but what is happening with us is they are getting the likes of yourself or bank staff to do weekends like i said before...all these cuts etc create animosity between staff on lower rate of pay, than the higher end earners but frankly they shouldn't be putting you /or us in that situation.
Also it is your own fault if you signed a contract ,what as it got to do with anyone else what contract you are on ,as oppose to their terms and conditions.

        Mickeydibble,

When you refer to "Us" we are actually now NHS staff who operate the GP out of hours service, all our shifts qualify for unsocial enhancements withing the NHS pay structure which as fas as i know applies to all NHS staff?

(Perhaps I may be mistaken here?)

No contract has been signed, apparently we are to be given choices within the next few weeks!

I can't see how the NHS can have staff doing the same job but being paid differing rates somehow.

If they do I'm hoping the Union will soon put a stop to that!!

Well we have staff working in my job ,doing the same job as me in the same place working along side off me but on less money, this is because I was tupe to a company that does not pay as much to their staff as what I earn per hour.but tupe protects my pay as your tupe protects yours, hope they do offer you better but I doubt that because they don't have to! And the nhs want to save money and wouldn't spend more if they didn't have to would they?

I'm happy to accept my current pay rate and also accept the shift allowances they pay.

Perhaps i haven't quite explained myself fully on this thread as I'm getting confused by the responses.

Let's hope we all get what we should when the choices are offered in the next few weks

Thanks to all responders, great site as ever!
