I've just read my daughter a bedtime story cuz I'm an ace dad and that.
The story she picked was "The Musicians Of Bremen"
Whether you are familiar with the story or not, I am going to sum it all up for you.
A donkey is going to Bremen to be a musician. He has a guitar so I do not doubt this. Along the way he meets a dog, a cat and a cockerel who are all sad.
The donkey manipulates this sadness to entice the other animals to go along with him to join his band.
How he knew they were musically talented at all, let alone in the specific area of expertise that he attributes to them is unexplained.
Further on down the road they come across a house. The donkey decides that four robbers live in the house. How he knows this is, again, unexplained.
They peer through the windows and spy a big lovely warm fire, some delicious food and, of course, the four robbers.
They throw themselves through the window and frighten the robbers away before tucking into their food and climbing into their beds.
Later, one of the robbers returns and they beat him up.
The robber runs away and lies to his friends that he was beaten up by a witch, a man with a knife, a monster and a judge.
This bull5hit serves to scare the robbers away forever, never to return to their house.
The animals decide to sod going to Bremen and live happily ever after in the robbers house.
What sort of story is this?
What does it teach kids?
What is the moral?
How does this donkey know so much?
Why did the robber lie to his friends?
Why on earth did they believe him?
Why is the story called "The Musicians Of Bremen" if only one of the animals is actually confirmed as a musician and none of the coonts actually go to Bremen?
What a load of old c0ck!
