Last time about a month ago it came back with a vengeance spread round his knee on his back leg lost his fur from biting the irritation anyway bk to vet 230 quid tablets no answer for it apart from
He could be allergic to grass air food pollen my staffy me Hugo boss aftershave it cleared but the vet said ah if it comes
Back it's a good job you have insurance cause will need skin tests and a skin specialist and test could cost u over a grand, I love the dog n yes I wud pay it I have read up and made the changes people have advised online when there dogs have had it barf diet, royal caning gsd food arejen the lot just wondered if any of u had had this problem or out like it and did u ever get it sorted

hi Konatist sounds like your dog "maybe" suffering from pyoderma

try googling for this pictures and help to first make sure the dog has pyoderma
secondly some remedies to help the situation

also some dietary help as this might prove to be a food allergy as opposed to an environmental or infectious problem

as GSD's are renowned for sensitive stomachs and some are intolerant to wheat, soya, and lactose as are some humans

i have had GSD's for over 20 years ime not an authority but have had a bit of experience
try these avenues first as vets are costly and even with insurance help might actually be here on the net non invasive treatment and things to try to alleviate the symptoms

                            HTH
Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday ......Was it worth it ?
