Jake Roberts left his snake behind and took advantage of the new WWE policy to send ex-wrestlers to rehab if needed. He still make sporadic appearances on television

Davey Boy Smith dead at 39

Davey Boy Smith -- the British Bulldog of professional wrestling fame -- is dead at age 39.

He died early yesterday morning while vacationing in Invermere, B.C., with girlfriend Andrea Hart, the wife of Bruce Hart who is Smith's ex-brother-in-law.

Many members of the Hart family gathered last night to mourn at the home of Stu Hart, patriarch of the wrestling family.

"We're all quite saddened and shocked," said Ross Hart, of Stampede Wrestling fame, whose sister Diana was married to the British Bulldog and together had two children Harry, 16, and Georgia, 14.

    The Ultimate Warrior
Real Name: Brian James Hellwig (though he legally changed his name to Warrior in 1993)

Gimmick: Distinctive face paint, tassles on arms and boots and a tendency to run into the ring at full pelt, shouting alot and waving his hands in the air (like he just don't care).

Signature Moves: Originally a gorilla press and big splash combo, later a flying shoulder tackle off the ropes.

Where Are They Now?: The immensely popular Warrior officially gave up man-handling in 1999. He founded Warrior University a professional wrestling school that never took off before setting up as a right wing motivational speaker. Hellwig legally changed his name to Warrior in 1993 after winning the right to it in a court case, also explaining his tragic omission from recent WWE video games. These days Warrior can be heard ranting in an angry fashion on a blog called Warriors Machete over at ULTIMATEWARRIOR.COM.

Ravishing Rick Rude, born Richard Erwin Rood in 1958, was known for his over-confidence and arrogance in the WWF. Before a match he would make a show of removing his robe while running down the males in the crowd. After a successful match he would kiss a girl from the audience. On one occasion, he tried to get Jake ?The Snake? Roberts? real-life wife, Cheryl, to comply, which upset Roberts. On another memorable occasion Rude came to the ring with a picture of Cheryl stenciled on the front of his tights. A furious Roberts charged the ring and stripped Rude naked (he appeared as naked to TV viewers but was in fact wearing a thong).

Rude departed from WWF in October 1990 to later enter the WCW (World Championship Wrestling). After injuring his back during a fight in 1994, Rude did not return to wrestling until 1997. He came back to the WWF as an ?insurance policy? and assisted with several sneak attacks on The Undertaker. Rude was not signed to a full-time contract with WWF, he was performing on a ?pay-per-appearance?. Later that year he departed to return to the WCW.

In 1999, Rude died at the age of 40 after suffering heart failure. An autopsy report showed he died from an overdose of ?mixed medications.? At the time of his death, he was planning on opening a wrestling school in Rome, Georgia, where he and his family resided.

The late Owen Hart was also in the UK when he was younger learning his trade. He once said he liked it here better as it was "genuine".

Macho Man I liked, sorry to hear he died as well.

The only one I like now in WWE(F) is Undertaker but he will retire soon. I think he's ill. I once recall Jim Ross saying he had a problem with breathing and he mentioned the big "C". Hope not. At least he's entertaining.

                      TNA has gone rubbish.
