I came across a well spoken,well groomed lady this morning sleeping in a sleeping bag of the company grounds.She said she was 'camping out'. She was obviously not an alcholic or druggie,was Irish but not from Dublin.I offered her a toilet and washing facilities but all she wanted was a place to fill her water container.
She asked that I not report her to the police as it only complicates things and if I could give her something to get breakfast.
I gave her a tenner and after she left,because she was in my opinion 'genuine', I was sorry that I hadn't given her more.
I don't know if she was running away from domestic violence, or had lost her job and maybe her home or digs in the present recession but for her age, around the 40 mark with a resemblance to Nana Mouskouri, she was in excellent health, slim and well spoken.
I hope she is ok tonight,the forecast is for colder weather.
