Sims card chip for your mobile

    hi all.
not to sure if its common knowledge about this chip i came across on the ~~~~ (net). No need to get your phone unlocked this chip slips on the chip of your sims card and put it back into the little holder in your phone and a presto it unlocked. web site says it works on 85% of phones. my youngest got a phone of her uncle and her sims didn't work in it. i ordered a sims unlocker from the ~~~~ and it worked no messing or butting codes in. brill

similar items can be bought from a well known site for roughly $6 delivered, this is not an auction site, i have bought different stuff and it all works, if the mods say it is ok i will give the site name.

The SIM unlocker gets in-between the SIM & the phone & patches the SIM's provider on the fly in the stream, so the phone thinks that the SIM is not on a provider it blocks. The mad bit is that the phone then goes on to use the blocked provider - would have thought the block would have been on the radio (baseband) side...

These unlockers do make the SIM thicker tho & it can cause problems fitting into the SIM socket. Never tried one tho.
