    Some Advise Needed [Work related]

    Hi everyone i have issue at work i took some time off work my daughter had heart surgery i was off work for about four weeks i informed everyone related to this matter managers etc they said no problems i hope everything goes ok for you great now when i am back at work they want me to take that time as holidays ok i said fair enough if i have to do this i will do it meantime i spoke to a collegue at work who was given two months off paid for similar situtaions which has pi**ed me off now can i call this a discrimination against me company surely has same rules for everyone
    please someone advise me

    not got time to read - as far as aware if your child is manfactured after 2002/2003 and goes faulty, you can have time off work no problem
    i know somebody with a year 2000 kid - can't take time off if goes faulty, the their 03 kid they can

        If you informed them that you needed time off work and they agreed then fine. They cannot use this time as holiday entitlement unless you agree to it, which you have now done. Discrimination- hard to prove the others workers situation and the staffing situation in the workplace itself may have been different. Try to negotiate and get your holiday entitlement back or speak to acas in the uk.
