    Legal advice

My grandad opened a bank account for me years ago but he died, my dad is the trustee, I'm 23 but there's no age limit on it according to the bank when I enquired about it, i don't speak to my dad so he won't release the money, is there anything I can do about this ?

What I would do is go back to the Bank (take 3 types os ID with you) and explain your situation to them . They should then be able to tell you what steps you need to do to recover the account.
You might end up haveing to take your dad to court to get him to release the money (hope he hasnt spent it).

Yeah, i don't speak to my Dad either, - that's because he is currantly dead, neither does MANY members of DK - the worlds best website
do they speak to their dad's because they are dead as well.

So perhaps, you should resolve the problem with your dad.

NTL *INSIST* they speak to him as it's his name on the bill - despite been told he is dead they *INSIST* on speaking to him - so maybee he will come back to life - in the mean time he is sadly missed - like other members of DK miss their dads.

          as was said earlier
go to the bank with your passport, birth certificate, driving licence and any other id you have
          explain the situation to them
they will tell you what you need to do after that

i didnt really get on with my Dad when i was your age. looking back i was wrong, the older i get the more i realise how hard he worked for us and loved us. two sides to every story. like meathead said maybe time to try and resolve the issue.
Unless he was a total pr1ck, then i'd let him shove the money before id give him satisfaction of saying i needed it.
