Well with the Torys in power you could be getting your wish. If they have their way they will do away with the HSE. They have already changed the way RIDDOR is reported and cut the funding by 35%. They are all about making profit for the fat cats and ~~~~ the working man.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

      (4) In order of priority 1-4 ( 1 being the highest) who is accountable for your safety?
      a. Employer b. yourself c. work mates d.Worksafe.

Could somebody please give me the answers to these 4 questions. I could hazard a good guess but need to be sure. Much appreciated in advance if anyone knows thanks.
Hi i'm now more confused than ever. OK probably work out something to say about 1,2, and 3. But number 4 is just a multipul choice in order and this seems to give different answers. Does anyone know what order they are in for sure. The form won't allow me to spiel off any reason's they just want the order. Thanks for all your help.

Maybe how you choose to answer number four will determine how you do. Who is accountable for your safety? Everyone is, but the biggest onus is on the employer under HASAWA 1974 but i don't think they want you to say that, they probably want you to say Yourself, worksafe, workmates and last of all the employer good luck m8

That's what i'm thinking, if i was to say employer they may well assume here's an idiot who'll have an accident then try to blame the company and make a claim. It's a tricky one as the correct answer might not be the one they want to hear.

I'd read up on Australian Health and Safety policy if this is for a job in Australia. Pretty certain the Aussies don't use the HASW act but they may have borrowed some parts of it.

I've just emailed Worksafe in Australia. I think this is the same as the HSE in old blighty. Isn't it amazing that no one has been rearly able to say the answer to this and yet we all do so many inductions and such every year.

I would mention the act as employers are aware of it and loads of employers do want to comply with it and also want their employees to participate in good health and safety procedures.

                      Here's a simple answer.

Get rid of health & satety. Replace it with common sense.

Let the Darwin awards take it from there.
