At what point does your heating go on?

The Mrs has been moaning that it is time to put the heating on, I am saying No put a cardy or some thermals on as its cheaper and its not cold enough yet.

Am I skin flint or correct?

I remember frost on the inside of the windows and no heating to put on, but there was an army overcoat on the bed.

axing the oil myself and switching to solid fuel
will only use oil as a backup

as someone once said to me when its really cold outside ya put on warm clothes and dont feel the cold as much
but when its not that cold ya wear ~~~~ all and then complain about the cold
its like a mental thing when the sun is shining but cold outside women stick on the heating
but when its snowing they decide to throw on a few tops and dont complain half a s much

ours is on now, probably been on properly for a week too now.

Tbh the sooner the babies are at school/nursery and im back at work or college the better...no ones in the house through the day which means money saved on the heating through the winter

Agreed, the boy walks around the house in his boxers moaning about the cold, the woman walks around the house in tshirts moaning about the cold. Put some warm clothes on, and the heating will go on when you see steam from your breathe!

It wont be that cold before the heating goes on, but it is far to early considering the cost of Gas etc..
