anyone recognise these lyrics

been trying to find the name of the group and the song from the late 80s which i heard a few times on radio but the factory was noisy and never caught their name or song title

here are the lyrics i recall

thought i see if anyone can help cos i have googled and youtubed it with no joy and i am not going to sing it to mates to have the p1ss ripped out of me
i think the song refers to unemployment and giro day

well i googled those lyrics and i cudnt find them anywhere so i just thought that song sounded like it

i have been looking for this for literally years,how long did it take you find it or did you know it anyway

amazed that you got it from just a couple of lines of lyrics cos i see he is hardly a household name
