at the end of the day people change and don't have the same interests as people that they used to be friendly with. they might start a new job, a new hobby or a new relationship and just not have as much time as they did before. there's really very little you can do about it.

i would suggest developing your own hobbies and interests and not worrying about it. if you've been making the effort to get in touch with them and they aren't responding, well eventually there comes a time to just move on and let it go
