It has come to our attention that the shout box has been used recently as a place to have a go at other members.
When I say, have a go, I do not mean the usual messing that goes on in there as banter between our resident lunatics. I specifically mean what went on this morning when one member told another that they were not liked here and the reason was because they posted in a manner that they thought was illegible when all could read it perfectly.
It is some of our V.I.P. members whom have taken a dislike to this particular member because she spends so much time in our SB? And because she has been seen as clocking posts to gain a ranking of veteran?
Truth is we do not care about post count, we know whom the real clockers are, BUT we do care about respect amongst members and VIP members should be the first to be aware of this as they became VIPs because of some of these reasons.
The SB has also seen a lot of censorship of late and a lot of words/phrases have been censored by us and as a result are no longer allowed. However a new word seems to take the place of the now censored words. All I can say on that matter is that we are all adults here, (well the majority proclaim to be), but we do have a younger audience also so could you all keep the SB a bit cleaner at least until the watershed. It's not a hard ask and would be appreciated by all of us.
You can have your banter as usual and throw your few uncensored fracas after a reasonable hour. We do not want to become the PC brigade but there must be an amicable meeting point.
On a more serious note, we will not tolerate any further remarks directed at individuals that shows a complete lack of respect towards them. DK has been built on the foundation of friendliness and respect especially from old to not so old members and new members alike.
We do not have a report button in the shout box but there is usually one of us about and a pm will be answered fairly quickly and the SB will be moderated if required. For any thing that requires reporting on the forum the report button is there for that specific reason. We do a fairly good job of moderating the forum so please leave it for us to do so.
It's a pity that we must post a thread like this in the first place and I never thought we would have to do so.
However, this is our current stance on these issues, future posts of this nature will lead to an infraction, (as per our rules), after that a ban will follow. The ban may be temporary however dependent on what is posted a ban may be permanent and without a warning.
We will listen to valid opinions but our decision on this matter is final.
