Had an ex marine in my taxi last week on his way for a stint on a merchant navy ship over there. When i asked about it he assured me the pirates are actually sh*tebags and take off at the slightest signs of weapons on board. They usually just dispatch a few rounds over thier heads and they take off looking for unarmed vessels.
