where do you live? Where you born there? What tax do you pay? What do you do when you don't like what your government does? I am curious as to which country you are comparing the UK to.. it seems you know somewhere better, where is it?

I read in another thread that you believe in free speech which is good, so do we, but when offering an opinion it should be open to discussion.

fair enough. We know polititians lie but we know we must also pay taxes... we do not want anarchy or a revolution either though. it is true that a large part of the population will sit back take whatever is said to them as gospel. and the weather also sucks...

do you know of a place that is not this way?

You love the UK so much that you left it?

Why didn't you stay and fight since you feel so strong about it?

You are the one that ran away with your tail between your legs.

I'm perfectly happy paying my taxes that support the NHS etc, far better than living in a country with no public health service such as the USA, no insurance then you are left to die.

hmmm, how to win friends and influence people...... i reckon you ran away because nobody liked you.

i do not see much of a valid discussion coming from your side.

Really? I don't propose to know where you gained this information, perhaps from a history book in the wonderful utopia you now reside, where the people live in wonderful harmony, overseen by the kindly rulers who provide every public service for free and the children play with unicorns and fairies......

                            Reality check.
In most democratically operated countries, the government collect taxes. And perhaps most importantly to my point, they-make-the-laws.
Taxes have been collected since time immemorial.
And you believe that a certain government in times past decreed that a law be passed to make the taxing of the populace illegal.
You also, by your statement above, believe that all governments since this law was passed have acted illegally and have not bothered to change said law to make taxation legal.

Governments may be flawed. On this we can agree. But what you propose is plain stupidity.

I would like to hear more on your ideas for change.
                            Please tell me how the
                            NHS,
                            Road networks,
                            Refuse collection
                            Police
                            Armed Forces
                            Fire Service
                            Sanitation
etc will be paid for after your proposed revolution....?

I get the sense that a mod may close this thread, but I respectfully request it remain open until we have an answer.

I was thinking that last night shady, about the tread being closed as It seems to be turning into a bit of a free for all. Will be fun to see his reply to that. I especially like the unicorns and fairies bit. Haha.
