Not sure if you dont want to say site cos its personal or cos its another forum, if its not personal you could pm some of us with VM and we could check it out to see if we have the problem. I would try if you like.

This question has been asked many times before and Virgin say they definitely do not block sites or ports, they only throttle some ports as part of their fair usage.

But having said that Virgin and BT & Sky (I think) have been asked to block The Pirate Bay.

But there are always around blocking.

You need to check the site using a pc that you know is on VM.

If you can't post the site here that we really can't help you check it.

Try a proxy server... Here's hide my ass

Hide My Ass! Free Proxy and Privacy Tools - Surf The Web Anonymously

Enter the website address through this... and see if you have access.

Did have a situation a few months back where I couldn't access a site, but I could have access through this proxy. The website itself was having server problems, where certain ranges of IP addresses weren't getting access.

Another site I use to check to see 'if I'm the only one not getting access' is

Down For Everyone Or Just Me -> Check if your website is down or up?

could be for a number of reasons

                      cant access a website

                      website blocking is a possibilty
if it is its means isp only from what your saying as you access it from skybb

dont forget they did get some court order to block some sites
BBC News - Sky, Virgin Media asked to block piracy site Newzbin2

if its not try resetting your modem and flushing your dns
also check your security might be set too high on browsers.

check with a browser that has no connections to ie or firefox because if
youve imported sometimes they can mess up both.

                      browsers to use like

                      safari

Apple - Safari - Browse the web in smarter, more powerful ways.

                      Opera
Opera browser | Faster & safer internet | Free download

check for things that would normally interfere
with the operation of using the browser.

have tried a few different browsers aswell , only thing a can think of is vm blockin git

                          also try
                          run as adminstrator
                          cmd
                          tracert www.blah.com

did you check your router ?
is it a router provided by virgin?
some are known to cause such issues
                          dlinks espically

the only other things that would normally be

is a firewall not allowing website to load.
even if its router or software

                          virgin could be doing maintaince
to its services in your area.

It could be a DNS server failure. VM DNS servers are notoriously crap with site names often failing to resolve. Try changing your network settings to use either the google DNS service (8.8.8.8) or the OpenDNS servers (208.67.222.222). This small change will also get around any simple DNS blocking VM attempt.

Changing DNS is fairly simple. For XP -

                            Start->Settings->Network Connections

Select and open your network settings (possible 'Local Area Connection 1' or similar).

Scroll down the items box until you see 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' and select. Press the Properties button

You should get a properties box popup. There should be an radio-box option to 'Use the following DNS server addresses'. Make sure that option is selected and then fill in the Prefered and Alternate DNS server IP boxes with the above given addresses.

Press the Ok button a few times to remove all the property boxes and job done. You are no longer using VM's DNS servers !

If you have multiple network connections then you may need to change the settings in more connections. DONT change the settings in any connection that uses a mobile dongle connection - strange things can happen.

*CONFUSED* why do you even need any other site than Digital-Kaos - the worlds best website.

Can only think DK are stopping you view inferior websites, but

                              1) That can't happen
                              2) No hotmail, ebay, google etc etc if it was.

Have you tried from a naybours site?
If you have a smart phone what about starbucks coffe or macdonalds wifi?
