    SAD lights?

for the past few weeks to a month i've been starting to feel really rubbish/ having no energy and just generally down in the dumps with no valid reason to be. I've been suffering with headaches and i think it's due to lack of daylight now winter is here.

I've been told on more than on occasion now to get a SAD light as this could be the problem?

Was just wondering if anyone has heard of this, or any experience?

i got the wife one of the phillips wake up lights last winter because she hated being woken with just an alarm clock.

it mimics the natural arrival of the dawn and she has it programmed to wake her to the sound of birds singing, one of my better presents she tells me on these dark mornings

S.A.D is a widely recognised disorder nowadays, so it might be worth your while having a word with your GP, you may be able to borrow one on the NHS.

Just not a fan of drugs

i shrugged it off for a bit thinking its just me being a typical wummin, but i'm now struggling to do somethingas simple as going to the post office, when normally id kill to get a reason for leaving the house, and i don't really like the idea of being stuck in a rut with this way of thinking.

If anyone wants to find, and pay for, that massive globe light in am's post for me i would be eternally greatful

a was thinking along the same lines as t.shirtman cb an sure you can borrrow them or buy them via the nhs at reduced prices

reading somewhere u can also just buy the bulbs, would be cheaper just to stick in a normal lamp

I've heard about them but didn't realise they were so expensive

@ CB let us know if you get one and if its beneficial to you, which I hope it will be
