    Freddie Mercury

Unbelievably this thursday marks the 20th aniversary of the death of Freddie Mercury the lead singer and frontman of the rock band Queen. He died of bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS on 24 November 1991, only one day after publicly acknowledging he had the disease.
I will always remember him as one of the greatest singers and showmen that i ever saw. His performance at live aid in 1985 at wembley stadium stole the show and for me is the greatest live performance i have ever seen. Freddie was a true legend and is still sadly missed to this very day.

Freddie lived his life in the fast lane and his reply when warned about the dangers of hiv and aids says it all- "Darling im doing everything with everybody"

one of the greatest performers ever.

20 years on and its still a sadder loss than any of the celebrities that have died since.

I can remember where I was & the people with me at the time the news was broken.

But it is still hard to accept it's been 20 years

Freddie Mercury was certainly a one-off. There's nobody that I can think of that had/has the same vocal range. He had that amazing stage presence too.

20yrs but, the music still goes on.

I remember him, I voted as many times as I could online in the good old days of dial up. Well impressed with his performance. Off on a tangent now, have you heard Marc Martel's audition for queenextravaganza?

My favourite queen song- very sad indeed as it was released just before freddies death. In the song hes thanking the fans as he knows hes not got long left. Look at the state of freddie hes faded away to nothing and got the look of death but that voice never left him.

                              THE TRUTH
                              The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
