if they've been taking 6 pound a month out of your bank account for insurance then you must be insured the very fact they'v offered a refund says they know this ,take them to the small claims court i'm sure you'll win

Check all your contracts and literature to make sure you are defo insured and get bank statements going back 3 years(the bank has to give you them)
If you are sure you are covered then raise a complaint with customer services telling of your evidence and let them respond. If they still wont pay out then you have to raise a complaint with the insurance ombudsman and let them make a decision. An online search will get you the address of the ombudsman.

i have insurance with them ithought it had stopped about 10 months ago when i forgot about a direct debit it didnt go out the next month so thought it was cancelled i noticed last month 7.99 go out my bank and the same this month so went to the bank to see what it was for and they told me currys knowhow and it had been going out for a while so phoned them up sunday to say my daughters laptop was broken and they picked it up today they bring it back next wednesday repaired or a new one i cant see how they can argue with you saying your not insured when they are taking the money out of your bank if you didnt tell them to cancell the policy and they havent informed you that they cancelled it you have still got to be insured any court would rule in your favour hope this helps

Insurance companies always tries to pull the fast ones, they like to take the money but will not like to pay?????.

The only question you want to ask them to reply in writing, were you taking monthly from bank account on my insurance?

If they reply yes, I see nothing wrong getting your insurance sorted.

if they still refuse check if you have accidental damage on your house insurance,if it is an expensive telly you can claim through that instead.

Knowhow have done this to a lot of people, They where on watchdog for the same reason.
Takeing more time than agreed to repair item and also taking money from peoples bank accounts then saying your not insured, it was a mistake and offering a refund.
