    central heating problem

    hi
    i have just moved into a new home and are experiencing difiiculties with the central heating .
    in the kitchen theres a dual channel drayton electronic timer and also on the landing is a thermastatic dial' i want to be able to turn the dial to 30 and have heat in the rads and turn it to 0 and the rads turn off what setting on the drayton dual channel timer do i select .
    Theres 4 options on the heating advance side as follows
    OFF
    TIMED
    ONCE
    ON

    OFF = off
    TIMED = set times you want it on and off and it will repeat every day
    ONCE = same as only it will just do it the once
    ON = permanently on

    As for the dial upstairs if you turn it to 0 = then that will cut your heating out as its probley not that cold outside never mind ya stairs, 30 would be rather warm, set it to a comfortable temp, 21 - 22 and see how it goes,
    the 0 - 30 are settings for how many degrees ya want it to be before heating cuts off..
    If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!
