tv licence a good or bad thing?

So you don't pay your license Bobby? How long have you avoided this for. I keep getting phonecalls asking about my license and i've had one for ~~~~in donkey years

Sorry guys but I disagree with everyone on this thread. The BBC is is an institution respected all over the world. If you hear it on the BBC than it is bound to be true.The BBC promotes everything that is British to the rest of the world. I can't say I am happy about the sort of money the BBC pays to the likes of Jonathan Ross but on the the other hand if you want to stay in the game than you have to pay the money.

So after you tell the man to ~~~~ off, and the police then turn up with the court summons, what happens then?

Do you tell them to ~~~~ off too?

And when it goes to court (and it will) do you tell the Judge to ~~~~ off aswell?

well first of all, they'll have to prove i have a television. if i say i do noy have one the most they can do is ask to come in and check this is true. you are not obliged to agree to let them into your home.
the police can and will only act if they have this proof. they cannot get a court order to enter my home to see whether i have a tv or not. anyone who says otherwise is a liar

) BUT your saying its impossible to geta warrant to enter your home ? i thought it was a criminal offence to not have a tv license.

about 15 years ago when i split up with the misses i moved out back to my mums house cause it was still in my name the ex told the tv licensing people were i was ididnt know this at the time the police came to my mums on a sunday morning with a warent for my arreest ,i had a big arguement with them saying your coming with us i refused and said i would pay the fine the next day i thought what a piss take just to get rid of them,then me mum went mad for bringing the police to her door

even if they could get a warrant to enter my property i could get away with not having a license if i was to say that i only use the tv for games or dvd's. this is something you can check on the tvla website. to save you time it states.....

But if you wanna download something else then make a post in introductions and browse the forum untill the post clears and then you will be able to download. Meantime you never know , you might be able to help someone with their problem whilst your browsing
