taken from MoneySavingExpert.com
Use the Moneyclaim website. There's a starting fee of between ?25 and ?100, depending on the size of your claim, which can be paid by a credit or debit card.
This fee is refunded if you win, but not if you lose.
there's a FAQ lower down the page, I'd start there.!retupmoc eht ni deppart m'I !pleHComment

Big companies do not send solicitors to court, if you make claim under ?1000, they will live the Judge to fight for them.
Now if the Judge is going to fight for curry chances for you winning the case is nil.
I am not a solicitor but I have spent more time in court then with my Mrs and believe me or not you need a very good solicitor.
There are plenty on no win no fee.

Ahh CAG, hmm never got on too well with them
but hey i was Admin on penaltycharges.
most important thing is English,Scottish courts have completely different legal systems.
I agree with above register with Consumerforums and they will help you all the way to ensure you understand what's going to happen how to file, they will help you complete POC (particulars of claim) etc just be up front and honest with them and they will advise as far as they can. However can i only stress that the members whom can give advice are not legal practitioners and as such any advice they give you, if in doubt check it out with a qualified individual.
deffo worth a start off point then at least you can take the majority of the work before employing solicitor for court appearance if you don't feel up to it.
Also Small claims isn't as daunting as some make out, it's designed for layman.Comment
