so after all the hassle why not see if it can be repaired if it works by holding in the cable may only be a dry joint
a easy job with a soldering iron at worst it may need a new hdmi connector got to be cheaper than postage to return it .and a simple thing to do
thanks for all the advice guys. the seller has no returns policy. the hdmi port must be faulty on inside all soldering joints are fine no movement what so ever. i did try to find a replacement to repair but carnt find one thats way i asked for advice on purchase. because any electric item bought brand new in britain must come with 12 months warranty regurdless if bought of the net. so i wanted peoples view on this before i made a claim stating this to ebay. but i am cutting my losses and buying from a shop instead that will give 12 months warranty. i piad ?180 ?10p+p
It doesn't matter what the sellers return policy is because he is still subject to the distance selling laws of the UK. It does depend if it was an auction or a buy it now. Buy it now is easier because you don't have to post it back, he has to pick it up. A sellers returns policy can only enhance the UK law it cannot under any circumstances negate it in any way.
