Help with memory card

Hi my friend had a memory card in her camera and deleted the pictures a while ago then took some pictures the other week and her mum deleted the pictures by accident is there a way of getting the pictures back from the memory card? And would it just be the recent ones or the previously deleted ones as well?

you can get free software to recover them but it will be the recent ones and them you havent over written

off hand no mate just google data recovery,or search freeware sites theres some there ive used them

my mrs was trying to upload pics of her anne summers party to her facebook page but the camera was telling her the memory was empty. on our camera you cannot delete all pictures at once, you have to do it one by one so we know accidental deletion was not the problem. camera then started saying that the memory card needed formatting which is something that only comes up when you put a new card in. there were nearly 220 pics in memory in all and was really annoyed and had give up hope on them.
next day, i don't know why, i checked the camera again. all pics were there. was both flummoxed and relieved at the same time.
bloody women shouldn't be allowed to take to the controls of a camera.
