I'll never use Paypal again as I was nearly ripped off to the tune of ?600 by them.

Got told by my bank at the time that they classed Paypal as a 3rd party.
If you hand your bank details to a 3rd party then you are not covered for online theft unless your T&C's specifically say so.

I just could not believe why the UK govt has allowed paypal to operate outside of the banking system.

Look what happens to news of the world; I think there has to be a break through to stop this kind of con merchants to carry illegal transactions, holding people money and get away.

Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

so they are really trying all angles to police the net. you'd think they'd spend more time on child ~~~~ rings and things like that, but i guess big business don't lose any money there.

i posted an interesting article by a bestselling author in ebook section a while back, he says pirate bay has really boosted his sales, as a lot of people download his books, love them and then go buy the hardcopy. Interesting way to look at it.

                  exactly eva, piracy hurts no-one..
look at thew film ''Avatar" as an example..
                  cost to make $237 million
made back $2,782,275,172, it MADE over ?2 BILLION dollars.. piracy is hardly causing film producers to live on the streets
                  Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

This is normal, paypal have signed all agreements so far including PIPA, SOPA, ACTA.

This will continue until people boycott the system completely. Problem lies with ebay and stuff forcing people to use that service to stay safe. IMHO ebay/paypal should be reported to the monopolies/mergers commission for anti-trust and anti-competition, as they are forcing you to use a service they own!!

Who want's to set up a new company for making on-line payments?

It may start off small, but all it needs to do is fill the gaps paypal refuse to deal with.

Bitcoins? Dont make me laugh. Thats only used in the WOW world and such. Plus bit coins are way to volatile in the exchanges to ever be a credible alternative to paypal.

With regards to setting up an online payment system, I think you would require government approval and such. Plus a massive pit of money!
