you should raise the issue as a grievance and talk it over with them- they have a legal responsibility under the health and safety at work act 1974 to manage and reduce stress levels on the workforce.

after being ill for two weeks and I wasn't off with 'stress' or the usual bullshit people say I was in hospital for a week and the doctor gave me a weeks line to recover so I was genuinely ill

my mrs is a bank manager she says most staff have targets which are fitted into their contracts which have to achieved if you are off it just means you have to work harder or try to get more sales from your customers via counter chat or telesales which can be done in overtime.
