    I wouldnt agree that posher people call dinner lunch. I think it is more of a location thing. I am from the West of Scotland Ayrshire, hardly posh and we call what you would call dinner, lunch. I have never heard lunch being called dinner since this thread. To me if someone said at 12-1PM you want dinner I would have thought 'are you insane we have hours to go yet' .

    I really do think it is a location thing.
