    Advice needed B & Q carpark

Insurance company asking me for car insurance details or pay the amount stated.

I have just received a letter from the third party car insurance company to pay them substantial amount for the damage which has nothing to do with car accident or direct vandalism to cars.

The truth was I bought timers from B & Q when I cam out side the B & Q car park the cyclone occurred outside B & Q car park when heavy duty timber trolley belonging to B & Q was uplifted by the force of nature 10 ft high damaging cars and every thing in his path.

We have eye witnesses working in B & Q and video evidence surrounding car park to proof the incident.

Why should I be responsible for some thing got damaged by nature?

Does that mean I have to pay for the damages from my pocket?

Ok my timbers and B & Q trolley who should be responsible in the b&q car park.

If an insurance company doesnt pay out for "Acts of God" then how can they expect to claim for an "Act of God" , .. Tell them to pray for their money..

Why would an insurance company seek damages from you for walking out of a B&Q store carrying some timers?

                I don't understand.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

I think the clue here is that there is a B and Q trolley and TIMBERS involved. I think OP is alleging that a gust of wind has smashed the trolley and timber he was pushing into a parked vehicle and now owner of said vehicle is wanting damages money. --As per the very entertaining and praiseworthy picture preceeding this post.

Ask to see there Data Protection Policy and another policy (cant remember the specific name of it) --- they have to have these in place as they are recording members of the public with their CCTV, and in all instances, if you are on the CCTV, I am sure you can request a copy of it, and they have to provide it.

There are people on DK who are more specialists in CCTV and may be able to provide info, I am a bit grey from the law side, but I think I am right.....

Forget that tripe --- car insurance?? By all acounts you were not in your car?

It comes under personal liability, and as you have none, the person who has suffered damage or loss will have to claim on their own personal insurance...
