    At the Cop Station

my m8 was arrested yesterday for a minor offence(section 5) taken to Police station, as he was being booked in, he requested to be seen by a doctor or paramedic & also requested to make a phone call.
Both was refused by the sergent, who said, "its up to me when you can make a phone call & it up to me to decide if you need to be seen by a doctor" & both were dened to him.

    Is this legal?
SLOWLY, OUR FREEDOM IS BEING ERASED.
SOON, WE WILL JUST BE A NUMBER.
IF WE DON'T FOLLOW, WE WILL BE ERASED.

The police have to follow strict rules if you're arrested, questioned or charged with a crime - you can get legal advice at a police station

The requirements for the detention, treatment and questioning of suspects not related to terrorism in police custody.

Your right is to have somebody informed of your wherabouts rather than to get a phonecall. You dont actually have a right to personally use a phone.

Whilst in custody, the custody officer has a duty of care which includes getting medical assistance if required. A custody officer would have to have a very good reason to deny medical attention as the could be effectively held personally liable for any negative consequences.
