Vermins new traffic management

Virgin are now throttling usenet ports as well as all other p2p to quarter speed between 5pm and midnight regardless of how much you have downloaded. Have a full read here Virgin Media?s traffic management policy

They been throttling usenet ports for a while. I changed mine ages ago an now dont get managed but things could change

I know but they never bothered after 9pm unless you had hit the download limit before 9pm. So how do i change the port for vm newsgroups....I'm ok at the minute with my ssl on newsdemon but who knows how long it will be before they throttle them. Most of my downloading isn't started till 11pm as I usually save them up till I have about 20gb or so then do them overnight but so much for their free extra speed increase the greedy ~~~~s they want to be putting apple in the name somewhere....Look what we can give you but you your not allowed to use it......

Been on 50mb service an they been managing it for sometime. It used to be no caps. I made some alterations to my usenet settings (not hard to find if you google it) and now i aint managed.

Dont matter what time of day i download i get full speeds
