it should definately be legalised and controlled in a proper manner protecting both the girls and the punters.
the extra tax revenue and then take away the dole we are currently paying the illegal hookers now as a country we would be quids in for something that happens anyway,the girls would be better looked after,protected and regularly health checked to try and stem the flow of std's and the punters in return have not got to kerb crawl etc and bring down the tone in peoples neighbourhoods!!
i can honestly say i have never been with a hooker but at the same time it is not because of some moral highground,i just have not but hey ho never say never

well at the mo its yes to legalising it, i have never been with 1 but if i was single and gagging for it and couldnt pick owt up (which would never happen because im a gorgeous hunk) then i might.i was working on a job once and got to know a few of the local pros they seemed like nice girls and they where fairly fit to.another thing whats the difference between having sex with a bird u pick up in a pub and a pro,nothing i think,the pro is probably more safety concious than a bird full of ale u pick up in a pub,and the bird u pick up in a pub could be a pro how do u know ? those pros who are forced into it or do it to fund a drug habit should be given all the help needed to get out,those who do it through choice should be provided with a safe legal place to do it.

There definitely should be some kind of control. I don't know the ins and outs (no pun intended) of the Amsterdam set up, but it must be better than over here. Its hard to imagine what life must be like working the streets, and i'm supposing a lot have some kind of drugs habit. Any help the government can give should be given.
Personaly iv'e never thought about using em, its a damn site cheaper to knock one out on your own. It might sound a bit soppy but av been quite happy with me missus for the last 23 years.

if it is legalised, you'll still get the underground brothels trying to dodge the taxes and offering cheaper services. and peole will still go to these rather than the legal, monitored brothels despite the risk to their health.

You'll never stop it and only control it to a degree .
Can't see certain folk queueing for a legal brothel were they're monitored and logged using them .
Plus my local Minister says , you can't beat a quick "knee trembler" in a back alley !
