after getting a bit sick of virgin i had a look at what sky could offer me,got a decent deal off them and they even offered to waive the line rental fee for 12 months.so i phoned virgin to see what they could do and the conversation went like this:
me..i can get the same services as you provide for ?30.25 a month then ?42.95 after 6 months
virgin..no you cant
me..yes i can and have it on the screen infront of me
virgin..no chance,your telling lies
me..sorry? your calling me a liar?
virgin..yes!!!!

so after a bit of a heated debate about his attitude i asked to speak to his manager who i was informed "was not there and would call back",he never called back and there is no-one at the disconnection service today,so just waiting for tomorrow to give them a call and get it ripped out.
wouldnt be so bad but we have been with them for the best part of 15 years and they treat you like crap.

Ive been with sky two years now after swapping from BT and i can hohnestly say ive never had a problem.Allways get good download speeds and unlimited is unlimited no fair usage crap.

got nothing to do with the speed of broadband,it was the fact he called me a liar about the price they offered.

sly do bb if you have proof of the price you were offered then its there obligation to gie it to you at that price you should ring them an say your taking the matter up with the regulator if they don't works every time

actually called it me,when i asked to speak to a superior i did enquire as to wether the conversation was being recorded "for training purposes"
cant wait for tomorrow because they are getting it from both barrels

We're on sky Broadband here.. we are in a semi rural area and get around 0.43kbps on a good day.. not even good enough for youtube videos or anything that is slightly bigger than 1mb in size.. ive tried another sky broadband quite close to the exchange last week and noticed the exact same speeds even though the line distance is considerably shorter than ours..

Ive also looked around on the bt website and they say we should get around 7mb which i know is a push but seriously it should be better than what we're getting..

I will be ringing them next week as i believe they're throttling us..

If it would be posible we'd get virgin, not in this area... had them in the past with no problems at all..

About a year ago got a soliciters letter for somebody else, right street, wrong hoose number.
0845 number - not ringing that - so emailed them, talk about bunch of *****s.

If they had said oh should hoose number xx would have wallked up the street and uploaded it.

so tied it to a newspaper and stuck it back in post box.

A friend has lived in several rural areas & the BB is always the same.... Shite.

Averages less than 1Mb no matter who he was with. Which is very understandable as all ADSL2 connections have to go through BT exchanges.

He's just moved again, to a rural area, but he's a lot closer to one of the major north south routes. He now has over 4MB connections with the mobile phone working as a router.

cancelled everything with them and they are coming to get there equipment next week

just waiting on the obligatory retention phone call now.
