i had one something like that in my car.base was in boot,handset was on console just in front of gear lever,had ringer wired up to car horn,used to park car in high street,and ring phone from phonebox,and when horn went of like a ringer,folk would jump out of skin,pmsl everytime.

I got Samsung Galaxy S3 recently, like it so far because it so lightweighted. But I must get used to the touch buttons which are easy to swipe over by mistake.
