    MP3 Normalising

Some of you may already know about this but for those who don't.....

I was pondering the issue of my mp3 files all having different volumes resulting in me having to adjust volume accordingly whenever my tracks change.

What I wanted to do was to batch convert my entire music collection so that they are all set to the same volume thus eliminating the annoying process of taking my player out of my pocket to adjust the volume.

A bit of googleboxing took me to a little program called 'mp3gain' which is free to download from the website and is really simple to use.

Just select the files you want to convert ( I simply dragged and dropped my entire collection on my phone to the file pane).
then set the volume level (maximum 105)
    then click 'track gain'.

it will then whizz along doing it's business so you can take yourself off to have a nice dump.

Or maybe go to the shop to get some milk.

    Or sort your missus/self out.

Or you can just sit there and watch it until it's finished for all I care.

mp3gain has been about since the dawn of mp3 time, and it's still the most easiest & efficient app for its intended purpose..
