Hi there, it's not necaserrally the loudest you want, you need quality as well.

If you just buy the first thing, that is colored purple says "turbo 1000000 WATTS" - then you might as well bin the speaker and install a Mars Bar in it's place, will sound just as good.

You need to do more homework on this, don't under power the speaker, don't over power it.

what happened to the orginal amp for the speaker?

totally agree i want quality , those amps suggested are not what im looking for thoe .

here is the speaker im connecting my mp3 to is BOSE SOUNDLINK - LEATHER CASEWIRELESS DIGITAL MUSIC SYSTEM
so im looking for a small amp that runs off a lithium battery , so it last a while , not mains thoe .

Thats like a mini system, speaker with builtin amp... Surely its own amp delivers the max level to its own own speaker, to increase the audio level delivered into it via the line in would surely just introduce distortion,,, not make its own amp output to the speaker any louder, wouldnt it? ...

Driving a speaker corectly is very important, underpowering one is just as bad as overpowering one. I go for roughly 75% of speaker rating. So if speaker is 100w RMS rated, then go for 75w RMS rated amplifier. Ignore all the peak rated info you are given. That is only for very short bursts, and will eventually cause the coil to burn out or the paper to tear.

You will struggle to get a half decent one thats battery powered ... i will look for you later to see if i can find anything.

I cannot see how you can boost the sound of that Bose unit as it already has a amplifier inside it, i guess you can increase the "line in" slightly, but then you will begin to distort the sound. Also the spec on that Bose unit does not even say how many watts the speaker runs at. I would buy a different amp / speaker combo.
