Looks like Demonoid is gone for good

It was announced today that Demonoid was raided by Ukrainian authorities in the middle of last week. The massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that brought the site to its knees late last month was apparently just the beginning,

and it has also come to light that the DDoS attack was something to do with the U.S. authority's.

I thought oink (the pink palace) was the first, although that site was hated by the music industry, they released music albums earlier than there official release date,
I remember in one year they released 60 albums before the record companies had released them.

Surely the US authorities wouldn't do such a thing, the land of the free and liberty, the kings of choice and competition doing such underhand stunts.

I was also gutted about oneddl, been at the top of their game for the last few years no other site comes near. Some of the editors have started a new site wrzko.eu which isn't bad just hope they keep up with the speed of releases as thats what oneddl was so good at.

So sad that the Western World has decided what we can and cannot do to the extent of killing off the pioneers of sharing knowledge over the net. RIP Demonoid and thanks for everything.

WinMX was killed long before torrenting was popular...it was a p2p system sort of like gnutella.
