I don't know about god because I got no prove there's one or not.
But I do know that as long as religions spend money on all kind of useless stuff, saying that they're using those to pray for the poor, dying children,... I'm not joining one. Feel free to send me to hell or any kind of punishment you believes in.

I've never seen God, but I believe in him, because faith is hope.

Never understood religion. Or rather the logic behind a lot of these religions in particularly Christianity. You could spend all day on here discussing the inconstancies, the contradictions and the plain daftness of some of it and that's even before you get to the damage they have caused both in the past and right up to today. Doesn't preclude the existence of a God of course. I do however find it hard to believe in a God as seen in their eyes.

Where to begin? There is so much. How about the Eucharist? The rite which involves the bread and wine which is changed literally into the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Say again? Not symbolically or even spiritually but literally? It's definitely the latter if you go by Catholic teachings. In fact a few hundreds years ago would see you burnt to the stake unless you accepted this exact interpretation.

If you are discussing the existence of God, you sure dont start with the Eucharist

                              Is there a God?

Probably not. I think John hit it on the head earlier, the fear of death keeps its religions relevance ticking over.

Anybody ever watch that Family Guy episode that is a parody of Willy Wonka? The part where the oompa loompa's sing "What do you think of the one you call God? Isn't his absence slightly odd?" to Joe?
