Need to hire a scaffold

So I've decided to sand down and repair the flaking paint on my roof lining just under the gutters. It's a too high for a big sh@tbag like me to do off a ladder so I was wondering if anyone has an idea how much it would cost to hire a scaffold. A one man scaffold would be fine but it would need to go up to about 30 feet.

why not get them replaced, soffits and fascias with upvc, no more painting.

A narrow platform to go upto 30 foot is gonna cost you between 200 & 300 quid for a week to hire. I'd do as Mark says, spend a bit more and have the lot replaced with upvc, its not as big and as expensive job as you might think... You'll never have to touch 'em again, and they'll always look good..

simple answer,do your bit for the local benefit cheat,?60 to do job,your savin about a ton,plus you dont have to do the job yourself.all you need is a ladder.

good idea by ray , tbh a dont think a local painter and decorator would charge 200-300 beer tokens to do the job.

Cheers mate 41 and counting- think I'm gonna give this a miss as its looking like 200-250 to hire a scaffy for a few days. Looks like the painters getting a bell.

i just got full height scaffolding put up yesterday,about the same sort of height for ?250 cash (i know its morally wrong )
