I am thinking about getting a Video sender, i know that the 5.8ghz ones are a must nowadays, due to overcrowding on the 2.4ghz band, but ideally a HDMI sender would be preferred. I dont want to get one off mail order because if its crap i will have to post it back, so getting one from the high street is also essential. I can be persuaded to go for a SD model if its a good picture. Can anyone personally recommend a certain make and model, and where did they get it from ?? Cheers
Video senders ... how good are they ?

Mate I've used these things before and it's always a let down.
A cable run externally looks like your best bet.Comment

Well i finally got my new video sender on friday, and i have to say what a cracking piece of kit it actually is. It is more or less plug and play and the picture is amazing. I admit that the signal has only to travel across the room ( about 12ft ), But it was originally tested with a 26" HD monitor i have upstairs, and the transmitter was located downstairs and connected to a VU+ solo. I have noticed that ebuyer have now got a offer on the full sized transmitter/reciever units at ?119.99. I get no interference at all from my router, and no connected devices have suffered connection losses. The cordless phone is also fine. If you need a video sender, get one of these... tried and tested.Comment

Well 12 foot I don't know why you would pay all that money for what would have been a simple cable run.Well i finally got my new video sender on friday, and i have to say what a cracking piece of kit it actually is. The problems with video senders are well documented after you try to send the signals through a couple if walls.

How do you know it would be a simple cable run ? You assume its just a case of clipping a cable onto the skirting board...You assume wrong mate. If i could of got away with spending about ?20 on a HDMI lead, i would of gone down that route months ago. And on the basis that you dont have this particular sender, you cannot comment.. He He He
