    Alone at last

How time flies , the last of our youngsters has just left our home , I think its going to be lonely and very quite around here from now on , perhaps its time to adopt a needy child , any blonde twenty something year old girl with big boobs need a place ? Joking aside has anybody gone down this avenue ? Should we rather treasure this long awaited period of our lives or carry on raising kids ? What are your thoughts , thanks , regards

My girlfriends son has just left home to start his apprenticeship down south. The house is so quiet without him but also there's food in the fridge and the house is always tidy.
      Happy days i would say.

Just enjoy the peace and quiet mate,it will only seem like five minutes before you`ve got grandkids crawling all over you and believe me they wear you out.Ive got three grand bairns with another due in a fortnight, all girls as well.Weve got a slide in the dining room, toys all over the shop and i just love it,we let them do mostly what they want when they are here and send them home full of sugar. So ecufix,my advice is just relax and chill.Like you say, treasure it....

im the opposite. just always was me and ex hubby and now new partner. however my nieces and nephews were round a lot. just like grumbles they loved visiting and getting treats with their auntie (still do and 2 of my nieces have lil ones of their own now who i simply adore)

my other half has a 7 yr old who is in england with her mother. we only get to see her a couple of times a year. we are exhausted when she is here as its all go 24 x 7 as she doesnt see much of her daddy.

im a big kid myself and have loads of board games, outdoor games, jigsaws, dvds ets so they always have lots to choose from when they are here.

enjoy your time together now while you can. its so important to make time for each other.

Its nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

Enjoy the treasured time of being alone, as jcgrumbles and others have said it won't last long, my youngest and last to leave home finally bought a place in sept 2011.

I didn't miss not cooking n cleaning and listening to her cd's one lil bit , plus we get on a lot better now (not that there ever was a problem) than we did before, it just seemed that as the 3 daughters left i gained 3 friends in their place, if that makes sense ?
