    sleep remedies?

Been up all night with ball pain again, its been weeks now and im getting chewed with it(thats why im called grumbles by the way)im on gabepentin and amotryptoline but they are only taking the edge off,ive only the one option if i cant find a set of meds to take the pain down to a reasonable level and thats to have a one off,now i know thats not the end of the world and theres a hell of a lot of people a damn site worse off,but ive had my balls for nearly 55 years now and i would hate to see them parted you know?I just wondered how many blokes out there suffered any kind of pain after a vasectomy,i had mine done 17 years ago and ive been in some sort of discomfort with them since.ive had two ops to try and remove the scar tissue but they themselves only left more, ive had painkilling injections(never again,i very nearly lamped the surgeon)and im very nearly at the stage where they can cut them off, call me maureen, buy myself a nice skirt and blouse from george and be done with it.Any suggestions would be taken into consideration, and now that ive bared my soul to the world of dk,i await your replys with a little trepidation to say the least...

read up about the hormone melatonin. not sure if its any use if your insomnia is pain induced , but still may be worth a try.

You have my total symapthy, it sounds like a pain in the proverbials(sorry bout the pun)

Surely an operation would be better than trying to walk it off !!
I am sure your would have to walk thousands of miles before one falls off and what if they both fall off..............then you'll be knackered......or should that be knackeredless.
Seriously though, sorry to hear about your predicament but wouldn't your quality of life be better if you had one removed ?
It won't make any difference to who you are or what you are able to do, other than you would not be in pain.

whats the deal with your doc/consultant now, what do they say they can do for you other than meds? Can you seek redress or at least referral to a specialist.?

Im off for a scan on the 6th nov, then we take it from there, the surgeon told me any future ops will `probably` just make it worse,so just remove it or put up with the pain.Im not bothered about getting one off if i have to and the lads at work have already christened me uncle bulgaria because i will be one of the wonballs...
