dodgey kindles

My missus loves her kindle, but having seen watchdog this week, doesn't think it'll last much longer, it's 15months old.
The programme said they don't last much beyond this, before they die and if your's is lucky enough to die within it's 12month warranty , they offer a replacement with only 3 months cover, surely this can't be legal ?

is the replacement one a warranty repair which may give you 90 days warranty then bugger off and buy another,sounds like not built to last anymore.

wife has the kindle4 and she took the pc world 3 year warranty for ?25 which replaces it as many times as you break it with no questions asked.

not a fan of warranties but i had to agree that this one made sense.

you can argue with them quoting the sale of goods act - which lasts longer than a year - this also helps as it is a know fault with the kindles.

I've got books from the 60's.
not one has ever broken down, or stopped working.
and i cant remember ever having to charge one up!

my you are young.
I started on an 086 computer, it was close to 10 years before the 486 came along.

anyway the connection is erroneous.
it was impossible, in a reasonable time, to do the work the "PC" did.
this is not true of the Kindle and its kin.
